Please read this BEFORE booking

Service is only offered where the following conditions are accepted:

You agree to:
- my refund policy (scroll down)
- not smoke, eat, or drink anything other than water (no coffee, no alcohol)
- keep arms inside the car (why is it that only men do this?)
- being video and/or audio recorded (notices advising of this are displayed on entry)
Any requests for deviations to the most direct route, are subject to approval and may incur additional charges
The ride ending or drop point being amended if the driver deems the road surface is unsuitable for the vehicle to continue. (This includes no crossing floodwater or creeks, deemed boggy surfaces or no turn arounds)
There are 4 passengers or less
You must advise when booking if:
- Any riders between 4 and 7 years of age will require a child seat. I have one (only). You must provide more if more are required.
- If any riders are between 12 months and 4 years of age, you must provide suitable child seat/s.
- Infants (ie less than 12 months old), MUST ride in YOUR approved capsule
Pick up and destinations are as shown (if not, please call for a quote)

An additional charge may apply to any trip that doesn't fall within these guidelines.

Iluka Pick up and going to...

NB: 'Return fee' is for a return on the same day. This would apply if I'm taking you to a doctor's appointment, then taking you home afterwards. It wouldn't apply if I'm taking you to the airport, and then picking you up from there to go home on another day. That would be a seperate trip.

Iluka = $20 (up to 20 mins so can include quick trip to chemist or IGA etc)
Woombah = $40 Approx. 15 mins. Return? add $10 (includes up to 30 mins wait time)
Maclean = $75 Approx. 35 mins. Rtn = $25 (includes 1 hr wait time)
Yamba = $85 Approx. 40 mins. Rtn = $25 (includes 1 hr wait time)
Grafton = $160 Approx. 1 hr. Rtn = $40 (includes 1 hr wait time)
Ballina & Lismore = $195 Approx. 1 hr. Rtn = $45 (includes 1 hr wait time)
Coffs Harbour = $295 Approx. 1.5 hrs. Rtn = $55 includes 1 hr wait time)

Ridesharing in rural areas

Endorsements

While I may have the personal endorsement of repeat riders, neither I personally or Iluka Rideshare is endorsed by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), managers of Home Care Packages (HCP) or the Commonwealth Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA)

Immediate Requests

Unlike densely populated areas, in small country towns there simply isn't enough call for someone to sit in a car waiting for a job. I can usually accommodate immediate requests, but please understand if I can't cover short notice bookings.

Pickups outside of Iluka

There's nothing quite as miserable as driving half an hour for a 'no show'. Due to previous bad experiences of the most trustworthy-sounding people changing their mind and not telling me, I require payment by Visa or MasterCard over the phone BEFORE setting off for pickups outside of Iluka.

Pricing for rural areas

Unlike my city counterparts, if I take you from Iluka to Ballina Airport, the chances of me picking up a ride to get me home are ZERO. Hence the pricing covers my return empty to Iluka.

Whether you're paying from your own pocket or fully funded by NDIS, HCP, DVA or any other source, ALL prices are the same as shown here.

Rates for Non-Iluka pickups

Being an Iluka-based service, all trips are priced as though they are starting or finishing in Iluka. So if you're in Woombah and want to go to Maclean, the fare will be the same as if starting or finishing in Iluka.

Refunds

Your booking is only accepted if you agree:

Cash to cash (and the refund recorded on my car's security system)
Where we can't easily meet up for a cash refund, I'll transfer it to your bank account. I will need to have this in writing via text message.
Refunds to cards can only be made back to the same card and will be less merchant fees. (Where same card isn't available, a bank transfer will be made and supported by your text message)
No refund request will be entertained if I am en-route to your pick up, or you are deemed a 'no show'.

Discounts

There are no discounts.

Return Trip Surcharge

Trips are priced to cover the time and mileage to return to the Iluka base. A surcharge applies if you're joining me for the trip back. This covers government fees, insurance and compensates me for loss of flexibility to my schedule.

Waiting Time

Generous waiting time is included in the price shown for each destination. Additional waiting time, (if I can do it), is billed at $25 per half hour or part there of.

Hours of Operation

This service is predominantly offered during daylight hours. So not to create any false expectation of night services, on 1 July 2025 I deleted specific hours and pricing for 'Night' and 'Late Night' services.

No harm in asking about a night run, but as I drive most days and never when tired, anything 'late' will ALWAYS require forward notice. Night driving puts me and my vehicle at risk of injury and damage from wildlife. If I do accept your trip, it will probably mean me not taking on something earlier in the day. In any event a substantial surcharge and prepayment will apply.

SYDNEY from $1,350

'Anywhere by the water? The Emerald city can't be faulted!

Well if you are forking out this much, you must really want to get there. Sydney is where I grew up. I've lived there most of my life and having done over 17,000 rideshare trips can show you both its well-known and hidden gems.

$1350 for 1 to 4 passengers

Standard service for Sydney requires approx. 10 hours* and an Iluka departure between 4:00 am and 10:00 am. Surcharges apply for pick ups outside these times - please phone 0437339 133 for info.

*Total travel time may vary on account of driver rest breaks and traffic.

NB: Same day return journeys are NOT available from Sydney. Return journeys the following day are $675 and must commence no later than 11:00 am on day of travel. This fee comprises a return fee of $275 AND a $400 fee for overnight accommodation for driver. Additional nights accomodation fees are $400 each (Maximum nights away varies and fees paid in advance).

Expert tour guiding and general assistance for you and your party is an additional $400 per day. This includes negotiating a personalised itinerary and all administration (eg making bookings). All booked services with third parties are at cost and are borne by customer. Please call to discuss your needs.

Please note Safety is always the paramount concern. It is a core condition of booking that you and any of your travel companions are happy for the driver to take rest stops any time he deems necessary.
